Hi all,

I’m encountering a very strange issue tonight with my BT TV box.

For the past hour or so, my TV box is randomly and suddenly cutting out and no channels work whatsoever. I’m losing both sound and picture, but I can still access the menu and apps. It’s not an internet issue because everything is still connected otherwise. The channels are then randomly coming back on after 10-15 mins or so.

I’ve tried the usual (switching it off and on, unplugging), but it’s still happening. Is anyone else experiencing this?

To add, there’s no error message either.

Hi

Its nor clear if you use the aerial or internet for your channels.

10 days ago i had an issue with the signal strength suddenly being poor on 10+ channels via the aerial.

I did a reset of the box, keeping the recordings, and instantly all was well.

May be worth a go......

Tim

If you are using the internet for all your channels then it must be some kind of internet problem as the only other option would be an issue with the HDMI Port and or cable however the apps and menu are not effected so it cannot be this. While it is unusual the apps are not effected I have experienced something similar before - the issue in my case was some fault which effected the broadband signal from the exchange (Was a while ago now so forgive me if I'm not explaining well)

I would personally call BT and I'm sure they will be able to get to the bottom of it
