Am i ment to be getting atmos from my xbox series x when watching bt sport ultimate?

Get it on all other apps, games and movies.

But not bt sport ultimate.

Unfortunately not.

Microsoft don't offer any way for our type of app to detect whether you have an Atmos capable sound system connected.

(there are 2 ways to develop apps for X Box - the way we chose doesn't support it).

Will this be added in the future? If not will a 4k fire stick or a app on my LG TV work?

We're not aware of any plans by Microsoft to add support.
The 4k fire stick will work. There's no app available for LG TVs.

There's no option for Ultimate on Windows I'm afraid, so the Fire Stick 4K would be your best option.
