Chromecast feed stalls part way through and cannot be restarted without powering down the device

When watching the Barcelona vs ManU match tonight and the PSV mach last night the chromecast feed stalled with a spinner being displayed. Tonight it was as the ads were about to finish at half time. I tried the following without success:

- Stopping casting and then restarting casting from the app.

- Closing the app and Forcing Stop from the phone settings and then restarting the app and trying to cast

Then I power cycled the chromecast device and this fixed it.

Also on both nights the quality didn't appear great with bluring on movement and noticeable ball trails.
