Monthly BT Sport on Sky Q

Hi, I took out a monthly pass for BT Sport earlier today. I can see it on my computer and phone, but when I try to watch through my SkyQ box, it tells me I need to upgrade.
I was just expecting to put in my username and password and be able to watch.
is this not possible?

you need to purchase BT sport on Sky package and link it to your sky viewing card to get it to work
