So the BT Youview box is using the 12 hour clock and the Discovery+ app is using the 24 hour clock. Not misleading in my view.

TNT sports and discovery plus seem to be unsure as to what day to display on upcoming live events that are scheduled to start at Midnight.

This is likely to confuse the viewer particularly as they do not seem to interpret the day midnight belongs to consistently.

Hi @zulu17 Thanks for highlighting this, on what guide are you seeing the discrepancy? Is it the app, online, or EPG?

Thanks

Well its actually a bit wider than a midnight issue. The observations relate to what i am seeing displayed c 9pm on Thursday 26th.

The EPG (Youview/BT TV ) treats midnight as 12:00AM of the new day.

So for example TNT Sports 1 has Live :NBA Tip-Off between 12;00am-12:30am (Fri 27 TOMORROW ) and Live NBA 76ers at Bucks between 12:30am to 3:00am (Fri 27 TOMORROW) that is what is expected

Looking at Discovery+ app it its Live & Upcoming Sport section it has

NBA Tip Off Today 00:00-00:30

76ers at Bucks Today 00:30-03:00

Phoenix Suns at Lakers Tomorrow 03:00-05:30

so TODAY is misleading here.

Back to Midnight specifically. I looked at a poster for the weekend NBA programming on a TNT Sports promotional twitter and the Live NBA 360 was listed as being Friday Midnight whereas the Live Knicks at Pelicans game was listed as Sunday Midnight so in one case Midnight was the day ending and in the second case for the day starting,

In the country that the events are being played, it is "today" (i.e. today's date). I suspect the time conversation is being processed independently of the date, causing this confusion.
