Why does the TNT sports app loading up and then crashing strat away on my oppo phone but works OK on my Samsung phone and tablet?

Only the TNT Sports app developers could say for sure, but first thing I suggest you try is clearing app data. This resets the app back to clean install (uninstall and reinstall doesn't do this, as the previous app data is automatically restored on reinstall).

If you can't get the app to work then one workaround is to to use the web-site version instead. I do this on my aging tablet using the Chrome browser which seems to work better than my usual Firefox for streaming purposes not least because of the built in casting functionality.
