Error code BTP-11169 Channel 433 Ultimate Sport

Good afternoon,.

Joined Bt tv on 19.11.23.Contract started 18th December as EETV..Full works package..

Unable to view Football today on my LG TV. Channel 433 as got Error code BTP-11169

Was able to watch Football on 420 in HD.

Can anyone advise Please how to get this sorted for future. Thank You.

Update. Is this to do with my download speed?. Ive measured 16 mb but signed up for a minimum of 19 mb.

Does the channel need a higher download speed to work?. If so:

Is this potentially a problem with my new router or something else and does anyone know how it can be fixed?

I'm afraid your broadband isn't fast enough for UHD. You need more than double your current speed, and there's nothing you can do other than wait for BT/EE to install Superfast Fibre in your area. I'm in the same position.... frustrating isn't it?

They never used to let you sign up for Ultimate if you broadband speed wasn't good enough.

BTP-11169 means that you don't currently have a subscription to that channel, and there's no package available to you that would allow you to add it. In your case, that's because your line isn't capable, but the system doesn't tell us that, so the message has to be suitably obscure to cover other scenarios.

I've got that code - I just want sky sports - full works has been added and all other channels work but not sky sports ones via NOW TV. Someone was supposed to call today - I have spent over 5 hours on the phone across a couple of weeks - also didn't go to work this pm as wanted to be in for tech call. I don't get paid if I don't go to work. Not happy.

My advice to you would be to create a "New post" with your issue as it will more than likely get picked up by the right people on here to sort your problem.

My error codes at the time where in the main due to my Bb speeds,which got sorted when I upgraded to Full fibre(fttp) and the Mods help..

@Andi123 not an issue I've ever seen before I'm afraid - your Now TV account does have Sport on it, but using a code that I've never seen before. The name of it suggests that maybe Sports would work from the Now TV app just on your mobile phone, and not any other device. Could you give that a try?

I can see that one of our guys checked your account and couldn't see an issue with it - unfortunately he'd failed to spot the unusual code. As it's now Friday night, it probably won't be looked at again until Tuesday.

On the mobile app it says choose your membership if I try to watch sky sports. Black screen and choose membership at the top. I have turned off broadband and TV box and restarted but no difference. I don't have the mobile app - I was being charged for it for 2 months but it didn't work. My BT page says full works but my Now TV account does not. It looks like Now TV have not actioned it to be available.

Yes - it was to do with the boost and sports monthly that had not been removed from NOW even though they weren't in use. I had to use a different email in the end. But it's sorted no. Woo hoo 🙌🏼
