Old recordings reappearing

For the last few weeks old TNT recordings, that have been watched and deleted, are reappearing on the list of recordings. We delete them again and they reappear. These have mostly been mototgp. Does anyone know why or, even better, have any idea what we can do to stop this.

Hi @Melaniej is this still occurring ?

If so are the recordings still playable ?

One thought is it possible that you have over time recorded several events which form a series and that you may be deleting one episode of the series at a time ?

Yep - or set a series recording, and are just deleting the existing recording each time. So it'll "reappear" when the next episode has been aired.
Check the "Scheduled" tab under My TV to see if it's listed there.

Are they actual old recordings or new recordings of one of the several repeat showings triggered by you setting new Series Records?

Hi @Melaniej are those recording still reappearing on the Recordings and Watch List rail or under the Scheduled tab on the MyTV page?

As others have suggested, it's possible that a previous series recording has "woken up" due to replays of events over Christmas using the same series identifier, or where an old id has been reused by broadcasters which can sometimes happen. If it's still happening, let me know and we'll take a deeper look for you.

Thanks everyone I appreciate your suggestions. We have now discovered all the old recordings under the recordings icon. We had deleted them from the watch list but they were still in the background. After clearing them all has been well.
