cancelling my subscription before price increase

i want to cancel my tnt sport subscription (i've had it for many years) before the price goes up in February but i was told it would take 30 days.

this means ill need to pay for next months higher fee due on the 16th feb.

can i cancel it immediately?

i was told this in a recent email from bt

"...If you don't want to continue your subscription at this new price, you can cancel your subscription at any time before this date in your account."

please could someone (a moderator?) clarify this

The price increase takes effect from 31st March.

Hi @smac2,

If you were to cancel it now, you would be preventing the next months renewal from reoccuring at the new rate of £30.99 per month, not including any discounts that you may have. The difference in price will take effect from your first renewal from the 16th of February onwards.

@David500 this is about a change in pricing for TNT Sports on Sky through BT. See below:
