They have Premiership Rugby and now the Autumn Nations. Thats pretty sizable but you sign up with the caveat they can and will loose rights to sports. Its the nature of the beast.

Last season, they had alot of European Leagues, such as Serie-A and Ligue-1, and now just two matches a week from Serie-A and thats it! But they can also turn to having Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, FA Cup from next season and more. It changes, but not to the tune where they're going to let you out of a fixed-term deal. To claim its unfair is going a bit far!

BT/TNT Sports Content Change Bit Still A Cancellation Fee?

I renewed my BT broadband/sports contract in Feb 24, as I followed rugby, specifically. Now, in October 24, I learn the TNT Sports has lost the rugby coverage that I had wanted. Contacted BT and was told that, despite there no longer being the rugby coverage, I would have to pay a cancellation fee of around £270 to get out of the remaining part of my contract, up to Feb 26.

This doesn't seem quite fair, as the content has changed.

BT/EE have changed the service, in a way that significantly disadvantages you.

BT/EE do describe it as a variable service and content changes are expected over time.

@myissues There was a time when we had several people on here who claimed that they were being charged for BT Sport after it became a chargeable service. Many of them claimed never to have watched it, and I think that BT would have been able to prove whether or not that was the case. I’m not aware whether or not they were successful in claiming the refund that they were seeking.

I take it that you’re talking about the loss of the European club rugby competitions. However, as @Popeye13_Official has already pointed out TNT Sports still has the Gallagher Premiership( now showing all games live) and all 21 of the Autumn Internationals from next weekend. I don’t think that you would have a very strong case if BT could prove that you were watching those.

Was talking to customer services this afternoon and was able to get a 50% discount off the full fee. Still costing me but better result than anticipated.

@myissues That sounds like a result! However, I wouldn’t start celebrating just yet until your next bill arrives. There have been plenty of others on here who’ve negotiated something over the phone with a BT agent, only to find that it doesn’t materialise on the next bill. Your back up is that all calls are recorded.
