Hello @RodT

Like yourself,I much prefer Recording Sport and watching at my conveniece later.

The problems you describe have been ongoing for a while with only very slow improvement.

As the Description in the Programme Guide often has to be available up to a week before the actual Event it is often quite vague.Problem is that if that is Scheduled as a Recording by us and is then altered to give more Information it can knock out our Recording .To offset this I (possibly you too) try to leave setting Recordings as late as possible (usually the night before). This has improved my "success rate" but I can still get the dreaded "Failed to Record".

I agree,so frustrating. However,as I say, this IS very slowly improving (and if it were an easy Fix it would have been done by now) so,if you can,sit tight and hope the full Remedy can be found.

BT Box Recordings

Had BT pro box for years and currently subscribing to Big Sport.

Only watch live sport after recording it. We set up recordings weekly based of course on the tv guide supplied by eetv. They are generally only T20 franchise cricket on Now tv channel for Sky Sports cricket or Alpine skiing currently the Winter Olympics.

It is becoming increasingly apparent that our style of tv watching (our control - not the tv company) is increasingly outmoded. EE seem to alter their schedules at the drop of a hat without bothering to alter previously registered recordings. They are also completely inflexible when it comes to sport overunning its alloted broadcast time. Recently I watched 3 SA20 games inna row without seeing several of the last critical overs in all of them. (I know SKY can do it!!)

But today there I am enjoying the Womens GS recorded on TNT Sports 2 and TNT Olympics 1 and it is summarily removed from broadcast half way through the second critical run. My attempts to connect to Discovery+ fell at an early hurdle and innany case would not have helped anyway as the event took place earlier.
The problem is if you have strange habits as we apparently do where can we obtain a reliable and recordable live broadcasting service - is it nowhere!!

Sadly tv guides and home recording are basically obsolete

Sky and Virgin have both abandoned pvr's and I very .much doubt EE will persevere with the pro box for much longer.

Probably just offering the apple tv box for EE tv subscriptions.

Not obsolete as long as there are terrestrial and satellite broadcasts which there will continue to be for the foreseeable.

@RodT Assuming you overcome your discovery+ access problem you should be able to view full reruns of both runs of the Women’s Giant Slalom . Unfortunately the organisation of the content on discovery + can be very difficult to navigate. howver they are there. In discovery + app select the Milano Cortina 2026 selection navigate a a long way down to Popular Olympic Sports. , select Alpine Skiing and under Latest Replays you will find the replayed broadcasts.

For the non Olympic Alpine Skiing events you should find the replays if in the discovery + app select Sports and navigate all the way down to Popular Sports and then select Browse All when you will see ALL Sports then select Alpine Skiing and then Latest Replays which I think gives you all the replays back to the Solden event in October.

Unfortunately the availability of full reruns of matches on the NOW app is limited as they believe their customers are best served by shorter highlight programming.
