Should have switched to bt today, had a message to say its all connected and ready, but I can't use it as I have no router, I have now been left with no connection. You would think the new routers would be sent out in plenty time so you don't loose service.

They're normally sent out well in advance so you receive them a couple of days before connection. If yours hasn't arrived, it's probably delayed because of the postal strikes.

Strike was cancelled for today, had a delivery from Royal mail today , but no router its been at the depot for a few days,

If the order tracker is saying at the depot, it's probably caught in a backlog from the strikes last week...

Who were you switching from & what services? It may be possible to use their router temporarily. Or you may be able to pick up a BT Hub cheap on your local Facebook Marketplace.
