Full Fibre not available but for me but available for neighbour

Hi,

I have recently moved into a new house which is within a cul de sac and close to the city center of Liverpool.

Unfortunately, I was trying to move my broadband and I was promised only a guaranteed download speed of 1.5 Mbps and a max of 5-6 Mbps only.

I checked open reach and it says the place is supported by FTTC and has a theoretical speed of 80 Mbps.

Interestingly, the cul de sac has around 13 houses and only 4 or 5 of them are having this problem and the rest of the houses have full fiber. The distance between all houses is less than 50 meters.

Is there anything that can be done about this? How come all other houses are covered by full fiber and they weren't able to install it for the other 4-5 houses within the same neighborhood?

I just don't understand how is it possible in 2022 to get speeds of 1.5 Mbps only close to the center of a major city.

Is there anyone who can be contacted regarding this?

from the checker results it confirms that FTTP is not available and FTTC speed range 5/2mb. you are obviously a long way from your street cabinet hence the slow speed

you can try openreach and see if they can give idea when FTTP available

Not much hope for a decent connection there. BT may offer 4G mobile broadband as an option, provided you have coverage.
