      <title>Cancel Contract</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My mother has been moved out of her house into a home and all her money is taken for care. She has dementia and we do not have Power of attorney.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do we cancel the contract as it’s so difficult to speak or communicate with BT&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The account will go into debt if this isn’t sorted with no ability to clear the debt&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;With difficulty without Power of Attorney.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You should get Power of Attorney as you will no doubt need it for other things and it will make things so much easier for you.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately, once a person loses mental capacity you have to apply through the Court Of Protection to manage their affairs as a Deputy. This is a &lt;STRONG&gt;very&lt;/STRONG&gt; time consuming process, and can be expensive if you need legal help.&lt;/P&gt;
