If you are not a BT customer, then obviously BT won’t be compensating you for having no service, if your current ISP is a member of the Ofcom automatic compensation scheme , you should receive compo as a bill credit after the fault is resolved from them, if you are considering moving to BT to try and speed up the repair, because your current ISP is taking too long to repair your service , that may jeopardise your compo from your existing ISP , and won’t guarantee the fix is any faster.

Hi,

Will I get compensated when broadband is down for more than 2 working days and what happens if I am down for a longer period and I don't have the option of hybrid broadband? The reason I am asking is because I am with another vendor and been waiting for nearly 3 weeks with no broadband and the latest it will be fixed asap.

Thanks

Peter
