I received a new router and TWO plastic bags I sent my old kit back in one of the bags & kept by Post Office receipt, now I keep getting reminders that I have not sent back the kit and its becoming a real pain, also now told I will soon get charged £40 plus for something I have already returned, get your act together BT

It is presently taking four weeks for BT to update accounts after they have received returned items.

If you call BT 0331.1234.150 with your Proof of Postage the CS Agent should be able to update your account.

You have to wonder why it takes four weeks for BT to update the account.

It clearly says on the BT web page at https://help.business.bt.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/51827/~/how-to-return-your-bt-owned-equipment-for-free-%E2%80%93-in-three-steps

Within a few days of us getting the equipment back, you’ll see its status change in My Account.

A few days isn't four weeks. This is a reoccuring issue reported on this Forum

I stopped wondering about how BT operate many years ago.

With a bit of ingenuity on the part of BT if they realise they have a say a four week delay they would program their system to delay sending out return reminders (with the threat of a payment) to accord with the current delay period.
