Text suggesting they are OpenReach from +44 7786 202608 asking me to confirm order details. Is this genuine?

A total scam, as Openreach would not call you, as you are not their customer, so I hope you did not provide any information.

If in doubt, get your order number to hand and then call Customer Services.

In the run-up to my recent install I received a number of texts all from the same number but giving me different numbers if I needed to rearrange anything. Those texts should include a link to order tracking on the BT website.

suggests it's genuine, but, of course, it might be spoofed.

Indeed. Seems very coincidental as an order has recently been placed via EE and details are correct in the text message.

No links are provided it simply asks me to reply confirm or ask any questions regarding changes.

To follow on from this https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/problems-and-appointments/got-an-engineer-coming/#keeping-you-informed-before-the-visit does actually suggest the number should be OpenReach.

Still dubious about actually replying however.
