How to cancel BT contract for Mum in nursing home

My mum has had to move into a nursing home so I need to cancel her BT contract. I have Power of Attorney and have called BT but the advice was to set myself up as an Account Administrator and this requires her approval which she cannot give as she has advanced dementia. How else can I cancel her contract? Thanks in advance. Cathy
