Email linked to old BT account

I have an old BT user ID still linked to my email (was registered to BT Sport App) which I want to use on my BT account that I have just signed up for broadband. I am unable to change email as it says username already exists, how can I have the old account deleted?

Hi @Cosmicray, welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. You can't delete the old account from your BTID.
If you are able to set up another BTID with an email address that has not been used as a BTID before and it will work ok.
If you don't have another email address you can use then I've sent you a Private Message so you can get in touch with the Mod team and we'll get the BTID deleted and you can set it up for your new account.
