Remove an old account from MyBT

I have an old account from several years ago linked to MyBT. Please can you tell me how to remove it. I've tried phoning customer services but get stuck in a loop of "press this, press that" and can't actually find a way to speak to anyone.

I tried the chat feature, was on hold for ages and gave up. I didn't even know if I'd chosen the correct option.

Is there an easy way to resolve this?

Glad I was able to get this resolved for you, by getting a new BT ID and the old one removed.
