How is a credit payment made by BT

My cousin is due a credit from BT for recurrent faults. The agreed credit is showing on her account page on myBT

Will this be paid into her account as a one off credit, or calculated with the DD’s that are taken monthly.

she just wants to know

Usually by a corresponding billing reduction

Both, lets say your cousins bill is £50 per month and the Automatic Compensation is £100

A bill would be generated for £50 and the credit used towards it with £50 credit rolling over, the next bill another £50 and the credit covers that, only month 3 there would be no credit remaining, the £50 bill would then be taken via direct debit,

Does that make sense?
