Charge for equipment

I joined BT in 2014 and have renewed my contract each time it's due. I've recently renewed but didn't take the tv package this time. I've been asked to return the BT box or be charged. Am I correct in believing that since I received the box in 2014 that it's mine and I can't be charged since they changed the terms and conditions after I received the equipment. Many Thanks

If you have had box since 2014 then it is yours to keep

Hi @jul7es If you've had the equipment since 2014 a charge should not have been mentioned. We're you notifed of this charge via email or txt?

We do offer to recycle all obsolete equipment for free as part of our environmental commitments even if it was provided before the terms changed.
