Account Manager Pending

I have recently register POA for an elderly friend and a received a phone call from BT to say it's all recorded and that I can request to be Account manager for the persons account. When I added the account I received a message saying that the application was pending. I believe that the person will need to verify which will be difficult as she neither has an email address or accepts incoming phone calls other than those she knows

Please can you advise. Thankyou
