      <title>I am trying to switch from Sky but BT will not allow it. I should be the account holder.</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have had enough of Sky and the fact that their broadband and customer service is absolutely intolerable. And I thought why not try BT as they have the so called&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;Hybrid Connect which is something at Sky simply don't do. Well not for me at least. Any way, I go to the BT website to try to arrange switching to BT. yet when I do, all I ever get is following after inputting my details.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;H1&gt;Sorry…&lt;/H1&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;P data-unlink="true"&gt;Sorry the BT account number you've entered is not recognised.&lt;BR /&gt;To see your personalised broadband offers&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;click here&amp;nbsp;.&lt;BR /&gt;For anything else,&lt;SPAN&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;So ok, I have not used BT for a few years but I have an account with them as I moved into my brothers house when he passed away. I told BT and for some reason even though my brother is dead, they still have him as the account holder and me only as the account manager. So I click on the button that says I should be the account holder and I keep getting this following error message.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;TABLE border="0" cellspacing="5"&gt;&lt;TBODY&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;&lt;H2&gt;Error 500--Internal Server Error&lt;/H2&gt;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;/TBODY&gt;&lt;/TABLE&gt;&lt;TABLE border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="10"&gt;&lt;TBODY&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD width="100%"&gt;&lt;H3&gt;From RFC 2068&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;I&gt;Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1&lt;/I&gt;:&lt;/H3&gt;&lt;H4&gt;10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error&lt;/H4&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="Courier New"&gt;The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;/TBODY&gt;&lt;/TABLE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So is it also BT stating that they also do not want my custom?       <description>&lt;P&gt;You should just apply as new customer as previous account will have ceased and you only appear to be account manager&lt;/P&gt;</description>
