Is your BTID in the form of an email address, if not, it needs to be. This has been the case for a number of years but only seems to be enforced recently.

If it is not email address, you can create a new BTID with one.

https://www.bt.com/help/account-and-billing/what-is-a-bt-id-and-how-can-i-get-one-

Hello licquorice,

My BTID was my name not an email address and I have successfully created a new BTID this evening using the link you sent me and I have been able to access my account (at least for tonight). Thank you.

Leahcim

Apologies for delay but I am struggling to navigate the community web site and have yet to find by original query.

Hi licquorice

Please could you see if you are able to help me. We have a business and a personal account, with the same email username, and have had this for many years, but for the last month or so, I have not been able to access account information due to "Access denied", and all the other usual messages showing you are denied access.

After clearing cookies, cache and history many times, I decided to come onto the forum. I discovered that if you change your password, it may work, so thought it would be worth a shot. And to my amazement changing my password has meant that I can access the business side of things, although I think it is still glitchy, and who knows what tomorrow will bring. No such luck on the personal account. When I go into this, I get the "Access denied".

I feel very frustrated that an organisation as big as BT has so many issues on its website. This is not my first rodeo!

Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Many thanks
