New Build home best package options

Any recommendations please for which monthly package for Broadband would be best value and to cover a 2100sq ft new build bungalow? Thanks

Use the address checker on the page below, and post the results, but edit out your address details first, but leave the exchange name and cabinet number showing. That will show what is actually available. Most new build are now full fibre, assuming that you registered your site with Openreach

Migrations of WLR Solus (voice-only lines) is also allowed but only for SOGEA 0.5Mbps bandwidths. SOGEA 40/10 bandwidths order is also allowed.

Actual speeds experienced by end users and quoted by CPs will be lower due to a number of factors within and external to BT's network, Communication Providers' networks and within customer premises.

In order to be eligible for handback, downstream speed should be less than Downstream Handback Threshold values.

If you decide to place an order for a WBC fibre product, an appointment may be required for an engineer to visit the end user's premises to supply the service

ADSL, ADSL2+ and SOADSL availability: If shown at FTTP or SOGEA premises,ADSL, ADSL2+ and SOADSL are not available to order due to WLR Withdrawal stop sell rules. CPs should order FTTP or SOGEA. Copper products are only available by exception.

It says FTTP is available, single stage install, its also the priority option, so nothing else can be ordered.

Just curious in terms of monthly packages, what would be the minimum/recommended download/speed etc you would order for a property this size , without spending too much for unecessary costs?

There is no correlation between download speed & property size, it's entirely down to your usage. Unless you have a house full of teenagers gaming & watching 4k video while others are on Zoom calls all day, 150Mb is likely to be plenty.

How well a single router will cover your property, you won't know until it's in place. So I'd suggest not ordering any extras until you see how things actually work. Many new builds now also have ethernet connections running to rooms that can help with distribution.
