The request to grant account manager access would be on the account holders BT id.

if they dont have one setup, you will need to call in with the account holder to vaildate and a guide should be able to accept the request if the account holder allows.

Hi all

I have been reading that others have the same issue, my in-laws aged 96 and 91 have a landline only account with BT. I have created email address for the mother-in-law (the bill is in her name and she pays it by dd) and set up an online account but when we access the account it says "You don't have any accounts you can manage"

I chose the option to add an account and then "I am the account holder" but after entering the EA number the confirm your identity section is greyed out and you cannot continue.

I then tried to add their account to mine and it simply says they have been informed of the request and it is pending. Should this request go her email? nothing has arrived and looking at the threads here, others have the same experience. Separately there is a fault on their line which BT are working on (expected to be fixed by midnight 23/7/24) and I would like to be able to help them by managing the account.

any constructive advice is welcome!

🙂
