Taking on a new contract.

If I apply for a new broadband deal before the present one expires in 25 days, will it start now or when the present one finishes? If the new one starts on application what happens about payment on the remaining days of the old one?

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you renew your broadband contract, it would replace the current one, so you'd move over to the new contract as soon as possible. The payments for the old one would be replaced by the new one.

Thanks Michael, that is very helpful as I have never got through to BT via two phone numbers (for ever on hold) or the chat engine operative (robot?) which never answered in about 10 minutes, so I gave up.
