I received an email setting out the price increases, one increase was for tv and sport, I cancelled my BT box a couple of weeks ago and have already sent them back, so I phoned today to find out why I was being charged for something I can't use, after waiting 25 mins to talk to someone the person I spoke to seemed unsure of what I was talking about, we eventually got there and he went into a sales pitch for changing my package over to EE which he explained was cheaper than the BT one that I was on so I agreed, then he tried to get me to change my mobile over to EE which I didn't want due to bad experience with EE a few years ago, so he continued his sales pitch with the EE package and then said I needed a EE sim card which I questioned as I wasn't having EE as my network provider, he said that I needed it in case of the broadband going down so that I could get wifi, this is going to cost me £10, I never needed a BT sim card in case of the broadband going down and as I had been on the phone to him for well over an hour I just wanted the call to end so I agreed to everything and will cancel anything that I don't want like the Sky TV which I had to pay 99p for as it was part of the package, so what I want to know is do I really need this sim card so that I can access wifi if the broadband goes down, many thanks in advance for any help.
