BT.EE Confusion

I am a 93 year old and struggling to understand what to do about my increasing BT account.

I have BT BB costing 34.51 pm + TV Entertainment (including Sports with HD) costing £44.22 pm Total is £78.73 pm. which I am informed will increase a further £5 approx from next month.

There is a suggestion to switch to EE to save money but I really am not able to work out how to compare.

Would very much appreciate some advice please.

I would call BT and speak to someone who will run through your options including pricing.

Your £35.51/month BT broadband cost is actually quite good. I pay more than this, having been persuaded to have a Halo "deal" some years ago.
I can't comment on the cost of your TV and sports package because I get my TV free from Freeview and Freesat
I'm also sceptical that you'll do any better by moving to EE. You won't be offered the sort of deal offered in EE's advertising because you won't qualify as new customer. Also, it seems from reports on this forum, that BT customers who move to EE end up paying the same or, in some cases, more than they paid with BT.

Many thanks and very helpful, I think I will continue on same basis.
Someone has looked at alternatives with Sky etc for me and they are all more expensive than my present BT package. Thanks again.
