We're just moving to full fibre and need 2 connections

We have been told that we can only have one connection per address, but we have a granny flat extension to the house and need a second separate connection, which we have had via copper cable for 20 years. We cannot get a separate address for the granny flat as it is part of the main house. Is there some way that we can have a second connection, or somebody/department we could apply to?

Are your previous 2 connections on the same telephone number?
If so, you can use the same extension wiring that your 2 connections currently use.
When you are migrated to full fibre and DV just connect the green socket on the Smarthub 2 to either your telephone master socket or one of your extension sockets - that will provide a phone connection at all sockets.
Your broadband is provided separately via an ethernet cable connecting the new ONT (Optical Network Terminal) and the ethernet connection 4 on the Smarthub

From what I can gather each house now just gets one Fibre.

Although you can have two Services on it by having a 4 Port ONT Installed. Obviously this would mean running an Ethernet Cable from the ONT Location to the granny flat.

I’m not sure if they can place both orders at the same time though.

So the granny flat is classed as the same address. Is the resident of the granny flat a member of your family? If so why are you trying to actively pay for two seperate connections? Just share your single connection with the granny flat using your own networking solution, be that an ethernet cable from your router or a WiFi repeater solution.

Thanks for your help, but we have 2 separate telephone numbers and internet connections and I don't think we'd want to share!
