Want a baseline price , go to the website as a new customer using your postcode , that’s the target price , renewing customers may get a bit better or a bit worse (as they are not a new customer ) but shouldn’t be a large difference.
In another post you state you had or saw a 6month free deal , I keep a relatively keen eye on what’s on offer , I’ve never seen that deal , and TBH seems too good to be true , that’s a 25% discount on a 24 month deal , and I doubt it was on offer

…there was a discussion on here where a TV deal was being complained about , it was fir £55 off for 3 months was (£165 saving) but the first screen made look like it was £25 a month , ( reduced from the normal £80 cost ) it did initially look like it was for the full 24 months , it wasn’t though, when reading the offer carefully it was obvious that the discount was 3 months , 21 months at the regular price .

I suspect you have seen a deal and have misunderstood what was on offer , adverts are designed to accentuate the positives , so it may have been by design to tempt you to click on that deal , but 25% off isn’t credible, if you didn’t click and see the reality, but called and asked for the deal you misunderstood, it’s no wonder they didn’t offer you it , it was never an available deal .

the deal was 6 months free . the deal then changed to 3 months free

the deal was confusing on line as it did look at first sight like it was the first year as it only mentioned a price increase in march 2026

is anyone shocked when BT is not clear with its customers

it was an available deal and a subsequent sales consultant agreed it was

Did you screen grab the deal so we can take a look at it ?

three months free on a typical 24 month deal at £35 a month is £105 off over the term , that in absolute terms is the same as offering a discount of £4.37 a month , so instead of paying £35 the deal is £30.63 a month , some may be swayed by the 3 month free , and think the deal that had less than a £5 off is a much worse deal when it’s the same amount of ££ saved .

BT are not the only company that have offers that once you look closer are not quite what they seem , but there is a huge difference between marketing and deception, I suspect you saw the headline , assumed incorrectly, seeing something that wasn’t actually stated , and didn’t read all the details, it’s easily done .
