&lt;P&gt;I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble creating a BT ID, We have a dedicated page on how to create a BT ID &lt;A href="https://www.bt.com/help/account-and-billing/what-is-a-bt-id-and-how-can-i-get-one-" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Have you had a BT ID in the past?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'd recommend using a different email address to see if that solves the issue.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>cannot create new BT ID technical site issue</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;recently joined bt when i get to the final stage of creating id it just says technical issue please try later? Its been like tis for days now?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I know this was probably sorted ages ago&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;, but &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;in case anyone else finds this thread with the same issue&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;, I wanted to share what worked for me.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I had &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;exactly the same problem&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; with the “We seem to have a technical issue. Please try again later” message when trying to create a BT ID. After a lot of back and forth, I was told it was &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;down to the email address&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; I was using.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I was registering with a &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hotmail email&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;, which BT’s system wouldn’t accept properly (even though it doesn’t tell you that). As soon as I switched to a &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Gmail address&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;, the registration went through without any issues.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;So if anyone is stuck in the same loop:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;• Try registering with a &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;different email provider (Gmail worked for me)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;• Once the BT ID is created, everything else works as normal&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hope this helps someone who ends up here as frustrated as I was &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
