BT contract expiring. Advice needed.

Good morning,

In October, my current BT contract expires. This is for broadband and landline.

If I chose to do nothing, am I correct in thinking that my broadband and landline services will just continue as normal, and I won't need to do anything?

Secondly, looking on the packages and offers page, I notice that there is an offer which is identical to the package I am on at the moment for broadband and calls. If I selected to sign-up to that package, would the contract start date begin immediately, and would the existing contract end immediately?

One additional point. If you let the contract expire it will continue but you may see a price rise, as you will lose any discounts you had under that contract.

You'll probably find on line deals for those still in contact are just smoke and mirrors

Me? I'd wait till October , You'll be in a much stronger bargaining position then.
