My mother-in-law recently passed away and I am trying to transfer the account to my father-in-law. The 'bereavement' person I eventually spoke to was very unhelpful and wouldn't go any further forward until she spoke to my father-in-law personally...he doesn't even live near me, so I find this very frustrating, especially as he is aged 88 and has Parkinson's! I even offered to send them a death certificate, but this was not acceptable! Further research, I found there's an online bereavement form, but this gets stuck on the YYYY/MM/DD and I eventually had to give up. Can anyone please, please help with what should be a simple task?
