I've recently been in exactly the same position. F2 install on a new FTTP install then upgraded to FF150.

I suggest you leave it a day or two for the account changes to settle. I did the upgrade to FF150 nine days later and it went through with no issues but I noticed it did take a day or two for the personal offers on MyBT to adjust.

FTTP install went well. Trying to upgrade via website to new BB package.. website broken?

Hi.

Install went well this morning, went on the bt.com website to upgrade my "fibre 2" package to something more speedy. Chose the option I wanted. Website comes up with " Sorry! There are no TNT Sports promotions this customer can move to. Please go back and select Manage EE TV and TNT Sports on EE TV"

I can't manage anything on EETV because I don't have anything!

I'm stumped. Anyone else got around this?

Ahh. Brill. I'm currently on to a person (chatbot?) on the web help and getting nowhere. 😄

As an aside; When you chose your new package how long did it take to switch over to your faster speed?

As stated probably you jumping the gun trying to do something new while your existing order is still incomplete on the BT back end systems ( even if your connection is working) …I suppose a question is why order a speed you didn’t want in the first place and not order the speed you are trying to get from the outset , it’s not like you have had time to conclude the speed you asked for is inadequate, BT systems seem to only allow one order at a time.

In a few days I dare say you will be able to order a change in speed after the current order has completed its ‘journey’ .

I didn't order anything. BT randomly decided to migrate me. Thought I may as well get the upgrade to faster speed done on the same day for maximum whizz-bang effect. 😄

@iniltous The vagary of BT Offers.

First charged £69 for FTTC 68 Mb/s and they wouldn’t budge. Only way I could get a better deal was to move. Sky subsequently screwed up the install of FTTP by sending CF instead of OR, as I’d instructed. (And tried to tell me OR sometimes send out CF if they are busy!) BT in the meantime decided to offer me Fibre 2 on FTTP at the new customer price. After I’d had that done, I noticed they were offering an upgrade to FF150 also at the new customer price, so I went for it.

Hence my reported departure from BT never really happened, so you’re stuck with me. (OK, you can all stop crying now).

@mr_greedy 24 to 48 hours, if memory serves. It’s just a settings change rather than an infrastructure change so, of course, doesn’t take long to do.

Edit: I would also add that operationally it hasn't made any difference to performance, but I didn't really expect it to for what I do these days. We're at the stage now where faster is not necessarily better. It depends on if you are a gamer or have half the house connected to the internet. Email, browsing and a single TV stream does not use that much.
