Have BT removed there live chat, i found this an easy way to communicate, but unable to find it in there help section.

It is still in use.

Click on "Help" at the top of this page or use this link

Get support with BT products and services | BT Help

then select the service you want, Scroll down and click on "Contact Us" and again select the service you want help about. A new page should open with a "Message Now" button on the left hand side.

If it is not showing it may not be available because there are insufficient staff to answer it so try again later.

I think "Live" is a misrepresentation - be prepared for an hour wait.

As was pointed out in the first message. "Live Chat" is no longer available so it would be a misrepresentation if BT was still calling it that.

It has been replaced with "Message Us".

Message us / live chat NEVER shows as an option for me, regardless of what time of day I try. So annoying that we are expected to sit in a phone queue to get help. Seems a backwards step to me.

https://www.bt.com/help/contact-bt/account-and-billing/broadband you can try 'message now' here but need to use pc/laptop. If still problems try different browser - it works for me using chrome or edge

Thanks - that message now button only seems to appear under the broadband & TV options, hence why I've never found it before despite using my PC. Will give it a go

Through the website following these instructions, it doesn’t open a chat window, it just takes you back to the main page where you are asked to select the service you require assistance with.

I just tried the link I previously posted and it takes me to message now and selecting that takes me to a chat window with BT. I suggest you try a different browser - i have used Chrome and Edge without problems

it may not work on mobile unless you have it set to desktop view

Thanks, I agree it is working now - but it was not working on my PC in either Edge or Chrome when I tried when I originally posted - I guess "message now" only appears when there are agents available for live chat!
