Hi hope someone can help.

I had an old bt broadband account which I did not renew several months ago. When it ran out i phoned up and opened a new EE Account. It's been several months and everything is fine . Upon changing to the new account I wanted to send back my EE smart hybrid connect and they sent me a barcode to post. They also requested my BT wifi extender from my old account. I phoned up customer service and asked as I had only received I postage barcode could I post both items together. They said yes!

Posted both items in good time and got an email a week later saying return received all good. Even put a note in with both the new account and old account numbers on each bit of kit. Have receipt of proof of postage.

Got email yesterday saying a final payment of,£50 is late and past due. Final payment requested,???.

£ 50 is what they quoted if disc was not returned. Can anyone please help.

If you are sure it is from BT give Billing a call on 0330.1234.150 and explain what has happened. Have your Proof of Postage and email to hand when you call. They should be able to update your account.
