After many outright lies by BT staff, rudeness, outright arrogance, cancelled new contracts, coercion and money lost resulting in many hours on the phone to sales staff and the retention line staff, I feel its time to leave this company and try another provider with a better reputation.

All I ever did was respond to BT's invites to look at my out of contract products again and I was hit with a whirlwind of incompetence and deliberate lies. where do BT get these staff from ?

So Goodbye to my 4 EE phone contracts, Goodbye to BT broadband, Goodbye to BT TV.

I will breath a sigh of relief when I can get all this replaced by a competent, honest company...regardless of cost.

Customer of over 35 years and treated with lies, deceit and more lies.

The grass isn't always greener, plenty of stories of that from other companies too

If you're thinking of moving to the other company named after that blue thing up there take "honest company" with a pinch of salt

You can mention the company name "Sky" and any of the other ISPs or company by name. What you can not do is use this forum as a comparison site by posting costs for packages etc.

@gg30340 No one mentioned packages or cost, why are you warning people about things they didn’t say, provide or request ? I am able to research new providers myself you know!...😂

@garybs29 I hear you my friend, but currently my BT-Grass is full of big steaming piles of BT doggy doos....I’m just soooooooooooo fed up with BT liars, currently sourcing new email addresses as I refuse to pay £7 per email address per month to keep my BT one's, and I don’t fancy the basic web mail version, sorting all the stuff to be done and people to be informed and...I'm off.

For the record BT has 25 million subscribers so I'm pretty sure they'll survive without you.

I was replying to @garybs29 who was posting a cryptic reference instead of naming Sky ISP presumably because he thought it was against forum rules to name competitors to BT. I was pointing out that he could name them on this forum but you could not post about packages which is against forum rules which may have caused his confusion about naming them.

EDIT: I should have added that your post without stating and giving context to how you were "treated with lies, deceit and more lies." just comes across as a rant and a moan with little meaning or credibility.

I’m sure BT’s subscriber count will comfort them. I, however, prefer service over statistics.

Subscriber numbers don’t negate poor experiences, they just make them easier to ignore.

Fortunately, I don’t measure my decisions by crowd size.

I didn’t realise basic consumer standards were mythical.

To give context to the Lies and Deceit by BT Staff would take dozens of hours to write here, however those that have be treated appallingly by BT staff will recognise the feelings I have for BT now!

I'm sure others whom have not been Lied to or Deceived and certainly Fan-boys will never recognise my comments as having "meaning or credibility", but do I care one jot...I do not!

Well I haven't heard the term "Fan boys" for a long time. That always comes from people who would rather "play the man than state their case"

If you really don't care a jot why bother a) posting this thread in the first place and b) responding to the comments that are made. I suspect you do really do care and it has annoyed you that it was pointed out that your post was indeed lacking in meaning and credibility.

In any event I will now leave you to it and hopefully you do find the ISP that you are looking for.

Thank you for your thoughtful psychological analysis of my motives, it was almost as detailed as your interpretation was misplaced.

Using terms like “fan boys” wasn’t an attempt to “play the man,” but rather to describe a pattern of responses that avoided engaging with the substance of the point. Ironically, your reply seems more focused on speculating about my emotional state than addressing the actual topic.

As for whether I “care a jot”, participating in a discussion doesn’t imply emotional disturbance. It simply indicates a willingness to respond. There’s no hidden frustration here, only a difference of opinion.

In any event, I appreciate your concern and your well wishes. I’m sure we both have better uses for our time.
