This is a customer to customer forum, there are no BT customer service employees here, you’ll only get general advice.

Remaining a BT customer is mostly a choice, there are other ISP’s available if you think you’re getting a poor deal. Obviously, if you’re already tied into a contract, you’ll probably have to ride it out. Halo 3 won’t be doing you any favours price wise.

Don’t think that being a long standing customer will secure you any special deals either. Best of luck.

Ok so i'm a BT customer of over 25 years and paying for out of contract Fibre with BT Halo 3 at £48.99 pcm.

We're moving house on 15th May and wish to transfer my package BUT; Guess what? my package will then cost just the same for a 24 month contract! What's the issue I hear you say?

The ISSUE is that a good friend and work colleague of mine gets Fibre 900 at much less than that and far better connection!

Can someone here that is actually with BT Customer Services explain?

You can’t compare Halo benefit packages to non Halo ones , Halo seemingly can add £15-£20 a month , so your £49 without Halo probably would be £29-£34 range ….you don’t make it clear but if a work colleague can get FTTP from Openreach and has 900Mb but you can’t get FTTP so are unable to get more than Fibre 2 (80Mb) that’s not BT’s fault.
As far as asking someone from BT Customer service to explain, this is a customer to customer forum , not a channel into BT , and although BT staff are the moderators , the BT Mods on here don’t have individual account access and suggest you call BT
