Has anyone find the way to stop letters demanding £50 for BT Hub, despite posting equipment?

I wonder if there is more people who sent already BT Hub in post, but they still get letters asking them to pay £50?

The posting was reported to the helpline just after posting however 6 months later, a letter demanding £50 for the hub.

Is BT a jungle where information gets lost?

Is BT a bully that abuses automated reminders via email, post, via debt collection agency… just to make clear who’s version of the story is recognised?

I bet there are more received but never acknowledged hubs…

did you keep the receipt of posting like the BT instructions tell you. if so you just need to quote the receipt reference and BT will update your records

Indeed, how many times have we read on this forum of people claiming they’ve returned equipment and then admitted that they couldn’t be bothered to retain proof of posting? Then they rant it’s not their fault when it clearly is.

As evidenced by an enormous amount of domestic ISP routers being flogged off on the worlds most famous auction site, many by private customers, clearly there are lots of people out there who aren’t sending them back to the likes of BT.

Most domestic customers however, simply don’t ever have a problem with equipment returns, I never did when I returned mine over 12 months ago. Indeed I’ve still got my proof of posting and the email from BT acknowledging return.

Yes, I kept it.

Sending it to BT did not make it go away.

Hence the reason fir this post.

I hope you don't mean you sent the proof of posting to BT.

Did you call them and give them the reference?
