Early cancellation when leaving the UK permanently?

Hi everyone,

I’m permanently leaving the UK in June 2026, but my BT broadband contract runs until October 2026.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to cancel the contract early when moving abroad permanently? Also, how does returning the router/work equipment work with BT?

Yes it's super simple but obviously you'll have to pay an early exit fee.

BT will send out a returns bag so you can return at at no expense to yourself.

You will need to call BT, 0330 1234 150 it is not possible to cancel online.
