I tried today to assess My BT to look at my account. There is now an added security check requiring a phone number so you can be sent a passcode to enter but you have to have a mobile phone which I don't have. BT it seems can't ring you with a passcode as my bank does. I don't need to do this when I log in to my broadband so why My BT? Have I got to sign up to a mobile just to look at my account?

Hi @Davo812

Welcome to the community.

Have you tried using your landline number? I've seen some users in the community to say they received the message to their landline, where it's read out for you by an automated voice.

If that isn't an option, I recommend speaking to our customer support team.

Yes, did contact customer support team. Was told I need mobile phone to activate accout details. If I put in landline number nothing happens. It seems BT isn't set up to ring you with code as my bank do when verifing transactions. They have canceled my login details & told me to re register using different password but to wait 48hrs before doing so. How this will work without a mobile we wait to see.
