Disappearing unread emails

Over the last month I have seen emails come into my inbox and before I get to open them they disappear. Two have been confirmation emails which were important - Worried I could lose more, checked Junk and Bin and not present. It will often show there are two emails unopened and there is only one present! BT Please help!!

Thanks for joining the Community and reaching out for help.

I would recommend changing your password as soon as you can in case you have an email client or email app connected. Also, log into your email address at https://www.bt.com/mail. On the top right, you will see your email address, click on that and then click on Settings. Next, click on Mail and then Auto-forward. Check to see if there are any emails in the list. If there are any that you don't recognise, delete them.

Logging in on laptop showed the missing messages. After changing my password they eventually appeared on my iphone. I also updated the app which seems to work OK but shows 1 unread message at the top which I cannot find.
