Keeping an Email when leaving BT

Hi, I have had a btinternet.com email since the days of dialup internet access, and kept the same email when moving to broadband then to fibre broadband.. Now I am thinking of changing my broadband package to another provider as BT broadband is getting much more expensive than anyone else. The question is can I still keep my btinternet.com email address after I move . I have had the email address since early internet access in the 1980's and wouldn't want to loose it.
