Scam/Phishing I Think

Good evening,

I received an email today, supposedly from BT, but it is all wrong,
no mention of my account number, plus a few other omissions,
it came to me old Email address, one that still works, but it is not
used by BT.

The return address is latestdeals@email.shop.bt.com

Image of the Email below, I think that you have a Phishing Dept.,
but it can only act against a BT email address.

If links goes to the following then it looks genuine. Also check the sender email address.

You can unsubscribe from these marketing emails from the BT shop if you want

Thank you for the reply, jac_95, I didn't click the link, so I have
no idea where it goes, as for marketing emails, I can't remember
receiving any.

The old email address that it came through on, was changed by
an Indian customer services man many years ago, this got me
to thinking that this is not from BT, I have deleted it from my
system.

I only wanted to let you know that it might be false.

If you hover your mouse pointer over the link, without actually clicking on it, somewhere in your browser window should show up where the link actually points to. What is shown should match - if they don't, then it could be a scam.

I use Firefox browser, and the true address of the link shows up in the bottom left hand corner of the screen when I hover over it.
