Sending email is causing a box requesting password

It has just started to happen in the last 2 days but when I try to send an email a box comes up and requests the password. It then does not link the password to my email address. I did early change my password and also went into the webmail and found my emails and it did start to work properly again but now has reverted to me not being able to send emails.
