BT ID v Email Address

In trying to register my Kindle I am being told that I have entered the wrong password.The one I had given was the same as my usual login to BT.. However the penny has just dropped. I should have given the password associated with my BT ID. But that was given when I first signed on BT. Which was years ago. Possibly in the time BT Telcom Gold. My problem now being that I have forgotten that password. Si how can I retrieve it.
