Error opening Android App when going from notification area of phone.

1) phone has just been rebooted and mail arrives message shown correctly then delete message or move to folder

2) another email appears tapping on notification email from 1) is displayed.

3 ) delete message in 1) completely. Another message arrives and tap on notification message is displayed stating nothing to show.

4) reboot phone and cycle starts again.

Is this a known fault that is being worked on

Are you accessing your email on any other devices or did you reset your phone and are setting the email app up again?

Generally I just use my phone and have tried removing and starting again but problem persists only thing I can add is that I am running Android 12 where as my wife is running Android 10 on her phone and appears not to have the problem

Is your wife using the same email account or does she have own?

When you deleted the email app did you restart the phone before setting up the email app again?

Which email app are you using?

Have you tried a different email app?

It's a sub account off mine.

Yes I did all that when removing reinstalling

Which email app are you using?

Have you tried a different email app?

I'm using BT Email and it seems to be specific to the app Gmail does not display the same problem

I have absolutely no idea why folks persist with the absolutely dire BT email app. Uninstall it and install a proper app such as Blue Mail.

To be honest it's a simple easy to use app this is only glitch I seen since I started using it.

My advice is the same as message 8. Uninstall the BTMail app and install a decent email app. There are plenty free ones available.

I would prefer a helpful reply from an admin with a view to getting the problem fixed and not somebody who just fobs me off

You are not being fobbed off, you are being given very good advice. The BT mail app is dire, always has been always will be.

There are countless far superior free mail apps that you can use, Blue Mail being my app of choice.

Why keeping hitting your head against a brick wall.

Because I am a BT customer who expects them to provide software to work with their services which I am paying for.

As you are already using the Gmail app, why not simply add your BT email account to that.
