BT internet - very slow sending emails. Why?

Recently, sending emails has become very slow. Anybody have suggestions/reasons why please?

Hi @alphanumeric, thanks for posting and sorry you're experiencing slow response when sending emails.
Have you tried sending on another device to see if it quicker?
If you've more than one email address is it affecting them all?

Hello John. Yes, the time for 'email sent' (3 addresses) has slowed significantly. Why, I have no idea.

Hi, @alphanumeric There are no reported issues at the moment.

How do you access and send your emails? Are you using an email client or app? Is the device you're using connected via a fixed broadband connection or mobile internet?

I've just sent a test email from BT webmail and it arrived within a few seconds.

Thanks for your suggestion. The issue appears to have resolved itself, or BT has 'tweaked' something - sending speeds back to normal.
